Position Summary :

Cooks at OcalaBetS will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes that will delight our guests. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality food preparation, have a keen eye for detail, and be dedicated to maintaining high standards in the kitchen.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to produce diversified menus in accordance with the restaurant’s policy and vision.
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Restock inventory as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and Guests.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation, obtain and maintain a Florida gaming license.

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:

  • Culinary school degree is a plus
  • Proven experience as a cook or relevant role.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of food safety standards.
  • ServSafe certificate is preferred but not required.
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions:

The role involves standing for extended periods, as well as handling hot and cold environments in the kitchen. It also requires lifting heavy kitchen equipment and ingredients.
